Description: is a super-fast growing annual crop.  Buckwheat can produce a large amount of forage and seed.  Due to its fast growth and extensive root system it is excellent at mining phosphorus and potassium and restoring it to the top layer of the soil profile. It also produce a large flower that can attract many pollinators. Buckwheat has many great attributes including high carbohydrate and protein content which make it a great summer wildlife cover.
